Totally focused on playing for Pompey

My country, Senegal, are now playing their qualifying games for World Cup 2010. I have not been involved so far but I haven´t had an argument with the coach or anything like that.

The way I see it is that I have done my time in the Senegal team. I have some great memories – the World Cup in 2002 was fantastic, beating France in particular. But now it is time for the younger generation to come through and take the team forward. They won their first game of the qualifiers against Algeria so hopefully they can keep that up in their group.

For now I am concentrating on Pompey. I want to make sure I play my best football for them. If something happens and the team needs my experience I will be more than happy to come back and help. I am not retiring from international football. The door is always open for me to come back if I´m needed.

I´ve been watching Euro 2008. I´m not following any team in particular but some of my team-mates are playing. Niko Krancjar is there with Croatia and Lassana Diarra with France. I wish them all the best!
